On Sunday, October 4, it's World Animal Day. And at Blijdorp, we're celebrating with everyone who has a very special connection to the animal kingdom.
Is your surname De Leeuw, De Wolf, De Haas, Vogel, Visser, or Van Reewijk? Or does your first or last name contain an animal in another way? Then you can visit Blijdorp Zoo on Sunday, October 4, for just €10.
Animal names in other languages count too. Think of names such as Fox, Bear, Bird, or Löwe. Even first names that directly refer to an animal, such as Merel or Robin, may qualify for this promotion.

Visit Blijdorp Zoo on Sunday, October 4, 2026, and report to the ticket desk at one of our entrances. Present a valid ID showing your name. If your first name or surname qualifies for the promotion, you'll pay just €10 admission.
This offer is available exclusively at the ticket desk and cannot be booked online in advance.
