Practice, practice, and more practice; that's the keyword if you want to become a good photographer. Learning in practice is the goal of the photography workshop at Diergaarde Blijdorp. Our in-house photographer, Rob Doolaard, is a professional animal and nature photographer. He takes you on an adventure and teaches you the tricks of the trade. His guidance ensures that you really learn something. Are you a beginner or advanced photographer? Do you own a compact or DSLR camera? Book one of these photography workshops.

You can also take beautiful and professional photos with your smartphone. In this new workshop, you'll learn from our house photographer Rob Doolaard how to do it. Get inspired by the many tips and tricks. Additionally, you can learn to take extraordinary photos with a glass ball. And yes, you read it right, all with your smartphone!

Price for the smartphone workshop: €30 per person, excluding entrance fees.

The workshop includes:

  • Reception at De Lepelaar restaurant with coffee and/or tea.
  • A three-hour workshop (10:00 – 13:00) with house photographer Rob Doolaard.
  • A hand-out with tips and tricks from Rob Doolaard.
  • Parking pass.

Discover the world of creative photography with house photographer Rob Doolaard. You'll momentarily set aside 'ordinary' photography and engage in unique techniques. Camera settings and extraordinary perspectives, as well as photographing through a glass ball, are all included. After today, you'll be sufficiently inspired to elevate your photos to the next level. The numerous creative photography tips and tricks make this day an exceptional experience.

Practical Information

Price for the photography workshop: €50 per person, excluding entrance fees.

The workshop includes:

  • Reception at De Lepelaar restaurant with coffee and/or tea.
  • A four-hour workshop (from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM) with house photographer Rob Doolaard.
  • A handout with tips and tricks from Rob Doolaard.
  • Parking pass.

Conditions

  • The photo workshops are suitable for people aged 16 and over.
  • Maximum 20 participants per workshop.
  • Bookings for the photo workshops cannot be canceled.
  • If you are not a Blijdorp season ticket holder, you will need a valid entrance ticket for this package.
  • You can also order these in the webshop.
  • You must also make a valid time slot reservation.
  • The photo workshops will take place with a minimum of 10 participants. If the workshop does not take place, you will be contacted by Diergaarde Blijdorp.
