At Diergaarde Blijdorp, experiencing animals in their natural habitats takes on a whole new dimension. Visitors are engaged through every sense: hearing the animal calls, smelling their environment, and being captivated by their unexpected behaviors.
During a day at Diergaarde Blijdorp, you learn more about animals not only by watching them but also through the information provided at the enclosures. This can be done by reading the signs, but also consider booking a guided tour. Our volunteers are happy to tell you all about our animals and offer a behind-the-scenes look. Thanks to our keeper talks, special exhibitions, and, for example, the Free Flight Show, we hope you become as enthusiastic about nature as we are!
We believe it's important that young children grow up with respect for nature. That's why we offer lessons for primary education, among others. Where is it more fun to learn about animals and nature than at the zoo!
