The little pandas born in June occasionally peek outside the nesting box. Mother Kwina takes her twins, a male and a female, on exploratory trips. They follow her closely and have already climbed in the trees and a bit on the rock. After their stroll, they are safely brought back to the nest box. Father Miyuko plays no role in raising them. The young ones can be seen in our new Himalayan area, but you need a bit of patience and luck. They often stay safely in one of the nesting boxes...In the wild, the red panda is threatened. That's why we collaborate with the nature conservation organization Red Panda Network (RPN) in Nepal to protect and research the panda.
